Timing
How is it that I can receive only two telephone calls in the course of a full business day, and the second somehow rings while I am taking the first?

Murphy's second law:
When things go wrong, they will do so at the most inopportune time.
Example: I had an appartment inspection this morning. A half an hour before the inspection, the shower curtain rod fixtures ripped away from the wall, taking a layer of paint with it.
